Our Story: How Two Moms Built Prep-Mart

If there's one thing we've learned over the years, it's that peace of mind doesn't come from hoping everything goes right. It comes from being prepared when things don't.

Prep-Mart wasn't born from a business plan. It was born around kitchen tables, over cups of coffee, and during countless conversations between two moms who simply wanted the best for their families.

Long before Prep-Mart existed, we were already living this lifestyle.

We were growing gardens, learning new skills, preserving food, homeschooling, studying herbal remedies, and constantly looking for ways to become more self-reliant. Like many families, we watched the uncertainty of the world around us and realized how important it was to take responsibility for our own preparedness.

Then came 2020.

Like so many others, we experienced firsthand how quickly normal life can be disrupted. Store shelves emptied, supplies became difficult to find, and many families were left wondering what they would do if things became even more uncertain.

While the events of 2020 were eye-opening, they only reinforced what we already believed:

Strong families and strong communities are built through preparation, knowledge, and faith.

As friends, we naturally began sharing ideas and resources with one another. We exchanged gardening tips, discussed preparedness plans, and spent evenings making herbal tinctures together for our families. Those "tincture nights" became a regular part of our lives as we learned, experimented, and grew together.

Our husbands shared our values and encouraged our efforts every step of the way. Together, our families embraced a lifestyle centered around faith, family, self-sufficiency, and community.

Over time, something unexpected happened.

Friends, neighbors, and family members started reaching out to us.

They wanted to learn what we were doing.

They asked questions about preparedness, gardening, herbal products, food preservation, and homesteading. They wanted practical ways to become more resilient and less dependent on systems they couldn't control.

The more conversations we had, the more we realized that we weren't the only ones looking for these answers.

There were many families who wanted to become more self-reliant but didn't know where to start.

That's when the idea for Prep-Mart was born.

Our mission has never been to sell products.

Our mission is to help families gain confidence.

Whether it's learning how to prepare for a storm, building a first aid kit, growing a garden, making herbal products, or simply taking small steps toward self-sufficiency, we want to help people discover that preparedness doesn't have to be overwhelming.

At Prep-Mart, we believe preparedness is not about fear.

It's about peace.

It's about knowing you've done what you can to care for the people you love.

It's about building skills, creating community, and becoming more resilient one step at a time.

Today, as we continue our journeys in homesteading, homeschooling, business ownership, and self-sufficiency, our commitment remains the same:

Put Christ first. Care for our family. Serve our community.

We are grateful for every customer, every conversation, and every opportunity to help another family become more prepared for whatever comes next.

Thank you for being part of this journey with us.

We're glad you're here.
